How are They made?
The diamonds are grown in a two step process. The first step involves putting a seed crystal into a chamber of chemical solutions that are under intense pressure and temperature. The solution is then bombarded with carbon particles to produce more seeds and grow crystals. This process continues until many of them have been produced, creating what’s called an ice block of diamond crystals. When they reach their desired size (typically anywhere from 0.5 to 3 carats), they can be removed from the ice block and mounted
in jewelry as single stones or grouped together to create larger pieces like necklaces or rings. These lab-grown stones are actually physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds – but at a fraction of the cost!
